Resumen


Environmental education is one of the aspects tackled within the 17 Development and Sustainability Goals (SDG). Environmental education can be related to alllevels of teaching and all subjects. The following research proposes a set ofactivities to promote Environmental Education for Sustainable Development insophomore students of the English Language Teaching Major at the Universityof Cienfuegos “Carlos Rafael Rodríguez”. For the conformation of this research,several scientific methods were applied from different levels. The proposal ofactivities can contribute effectively to the students’ assimilation and integration ofenvironmental knowledge. Moreover, the exercises help the students developskills, attitudes, and capacities useful to their professional life. Therefore, theproposal intends to guide a correct environmental education in schools. Theauthor considers that the proposal of activities may allow the students to continuelearning English language out of the classrooms and allowed teachers to developcritical thinking in the students.
